Meanwhile, a federal court ruled Trumpās reciprocal tariffs illegal. Elon Musk reportedly tried to block Sam Altmanās chip deal in the Middle East, and the Pentagon just axed Muskās āwhat did you do last week?ā email mandate.

SQUEEZ OF THE DAY
TACO Trade

Wall Street has a new acronym for ābuying the dipā in the Trump era: the TACO trade: Trump Always Chickens Out.
Coined by the Financial Times, the TACO trade captures a pattern weāve seen on repeat:
Trump threatens tariffs ā markets drop ā backlash ensues ā Trump walks it back ā markets bounce.
It happened with the 90-day tariff pause in April, again during the China ceasefire, and just this week with the EU U-turn. See chart below:

When asked about the TACO trade on live TV yesterday, Trump had a bit of a meltdown, telling the reporter: āDonāt ever say what you said,ā and defended it as a ānegotiationā tactic, but failed to explain why markets shouldnāt keep betting on his U-turns.
Now all eyes are on the calendar. The 90-day pause ends exactly six weeks from today. Will Trump double down or chicken out once again? If market pricing is any indicator, investors are betting on the latter.
Takeaway: If youāve been riding the TACO trade, congrats, you just made generational wealth. Just hope the next reporter doesnāt provoke him into actually following through, and collapsing the global economy.

Legends Series: Richard Dennis
Richard Dennis turned $1,600 into $200 million using rules anyone could followāif they had the discipline.
Known as the āPrince of the Pit,ā Dennis believed trading wasnāt artāit was science.
In the 1980s, he conducted a now-legendary experiment: training a group of novices, dubbed the āTurtles,ā to trade commodities using a strict trend-following system.
The result? Many became millionaires.
Dennisā lesson was clear: you donāt need to predictāyou need to react.
When prices broke out, you bought.
When trends reversed, you got out. No emotion. No story. Just price.
In 2025, markets are volatile and macro signals are murky.
But momentum is aliveāS&P sectors are rotating, rates are shifting, and volatility is returning.
Dennisā rulebook would thrive here.
His message: Build a system. Follow it. Donāt deviate. The edge isnāt in brillianceāitās in consistency.
