Recently I got a message on Instagram (below) asking for anonymous feedback on private equity firms, in particular firms to stay away from.

The shiny world of private equity is flashed in front of investment banker eyes as soon as they hit the desk. Many escapees soon realize that private equity is just investment banking 2.0, if not worse (in some cases longer hours, more stress and lesser pay).

So to keep y’all informed we asked for anonymous feedback on PE firms to avoid, and got the responses below. Note that none of this feedback comes back from us, these are the responses we received verbatim.
